Interlock

For homeowners, nothing can be more of a nuisance than an uneven driveway. If you’re tired of having a sunken driveway, you’ll appreciate our interlock services. For homeowners looking to repair or restore stones around your home or on your commercial property, Black Tar’s professional interlock repair services are here for you.

Our interlock services extend beyond driveways. Our team is also skilled at repairing walkways, retaining walls, steps, patios, and more. We can fix all those pesky issues around your property and make it look new again.

Ottawa is one of the best places to live, but our weather can get intense. Nothing that Canadian’s can’t handle, but it doesn’t take long for your pavement to get worn and damaged from the extreme temperatures. When your paving starts to look old and discoloured, call Black Tar.

Have you had enough of looking at the damage to your interlock pavers? Whether you want to fix minor elevation differences or if you need a complex interlock project, the Black Tar team is the right team to call. Our dedication to quality interlock services and exceeding customer expectations is how we’ve built a top-rated business.

How it works

We are passionate about interlocking, which is why we like to share with customers the details of the work we do. Our team is proud of the quality work we offer. Customers appreciate our transparency when it comes to their property.

Minor issues with your interlocking pavers are usually easy and quick to fix. Our team will approach it by first removing the pavers in the affected area, depending on the type of damage. Once the affected areas have been re-levelled, we’ll reposition your existing stones and replace any interlock stones that are severely damaged. Doing this is the fastest and most affordable option to overcome aesthetic issues with your interlock stone.

For areas that require new interlock pavers, we begin by doing a full excavation and placing a geotextile material on the bottom to prevent contamination to your new base. Lastly, we backfill the area with granular, compact it, level it, then place the new interlock pavers to perfection.

Once your interlock problems are fixed, it’s crucial to maintain the look and strength. Having regular treatments can help prevent more significant and expensive issues over time. Black Tar services include cleaning and sealing.

Black Tar’s cleaning and sealing of interlocking stones restores the look of your paving and can significantly increase the curb appeal of your property. Our team can tackle any number of issues you have with your interlock paving, including:

Treat stains
Refill joints
Remove weeds and insect colonies
Restore colour

It is recommended for these to be done professionally to maintain the look and aesthetic of your interlocking. Attempting a DIY repair can lead to severe damage and costly replacement.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Deep and Ariel did a great job patching a sunken spot on our driveway. Good clean work, and the area in question now very effectively grades away from our house.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The work itself was good, but scheduling needs to provide a few days advance notice in order to enable the driveway be made available, e.g. to arrange for alternate parking.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had a great experience with Black Tar - responsive, quick, cost effective and gracious workers - would definitely recommend them for your paving and sealing needs!

Deep and Ariel kept me informed all day long with their tracking system and even called to detail when they would arrive. When they did arrive they explained exactly what they were doing at each stage and at the completion gave a quick overview of the work they just completed - amazing!

I would definitely recommend Black Tar - all the staff have been attentive and amazing ... thank you,

Robert and Ted
